Intro to Greenland paddling

Explore the elegance of the Greenland paddle in this 2.5-hour introductory course! Discover the timeless design and smooth, efficient strokes that have been perfected over centuries.

Whether you’re new to paddling or looking to expand your skills, you'll appreciate the paddle's unique feel and connection to the water. Get ready to glide through the water with style and grace! We will have different types of Greenland paddles for you to try. Basic kayaking certification is required. 

Prerequisites:
- registered as a JSCA member for the current season
- registered as a UBC Sailing Club member for the current season
- previously passed a Kayaking course or proficiency exam in our club
- wetsuit or drysuit, booties/shoes...and any gear you require to not get cold in/on the water

Location: meet up at the picnic tables in front of the JSCA corner office, changed, with your kayak gear, your kayak signed out.
