Monohull Guideline

Monohull Safety Guidelines (FJ, Laser & Vanguard15)

Don’t beach the boats.  Dragging them up onto the beach is murder on the hulls.  All our dollies should be clearly labelled with “UBC” and the boat class, so even hollering at random passers-by to grab a Laser dolly should be do-able if you choose to sail by yourself.
Use the right dolly. Putting a beamier Vanguard or FJ onto a narrow Laser dolly puts all the weight on the upright posts which break the boat. And you are responsible for any damage you cause.
Don’t stand in the boats when they’re on a dolly being rigged.  The hull isn’t designed to bear weight that way.
